Meet Kid Rock’s Family…
We’re about to share something with y’all that may blow your mind. Kid Rock is a grandpa.
It’s likely you may not have known that the 48-year-old singer is a dad, but he sure is. His son, Robert James Ritchie Jr., was born in 1993. His mother, Kelley South Russell, had been in an on-and-off relationship with Kid Rock since they were young.
After Kid Rock and Kelley split, the singer took his son and raised him on his own as a single father. Robert Jr., who goes by Robert James, went on to follow in his father’s musical footsteps and became a singer himself.

Just as Kid Rock became a father at a young age, so did his son. Robert James was 21 years old when it was announced that he would be having his first child. He made Kid Rock a grandpa at the age of 43, and he’s thankful for it. As he told Rolling Stone in 2016:
“My friends say, ‘How lucky are you, to be able to see your granddaughter do so much stuff? You’ll be at her wedding.’ So many things you might not see if you have kids later in life, which seems to be the trend now for most responsible adults.'”
An Adorable Vacation

The two recently got the chance to go on a little vacation together, and Kid Rock couldn’t keep himself from sharing a sweet snapshot they took on their trip. Grandpa and granddaughter jetted down to Disney World in Florida, where they got the chance to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
The pair posed with the famous Disney characters for a cute photo, which shows them both sporting huge smiles. Kid Rock gushed about the day in the photo’s caption, writing, “Does not get any better than Disney World with your granddaughter!”
