Hank Williams, perhaps the most legendary country singer of all time, left a lasting impression on the world with his music. But due to his untimely passing at the age of 29, we don’t know much about the type of person he was.
Fortunately, Hank’s son, Hank Williams Jr., has some stories to tell about his dad. Though since Hank Sr. passed when his son was young, Hank Jr. must rely on the stories others have told him about his father.
During an interview with Kix Brooks in 2015, Hank Jr. spilled the beans about his father’s favorite things in life: music and hunting. He also revealed he shares those passions with his old man.
So, what else did Hank Jr. tell us about his dad? Well, it turns out ol’ Hank Sr. didn’t like to talk about his music, even though it was his profession and one of his passions.
The late Hee Haw star Minnie Pearl told Hank Jr. this bit of information about his father. According to Minnie, Hank Sr. never missed a chance to chat about his hunting trips.
As it turns out, Hank Jr. is just like his dad in that way. Minnie even said so! Talk about a chip off the old block.
