40 years have passed since the world was rocked by news of the death of The King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley. No one will ever truly replace the late and great Elvis, but fans may just be able to find consolation in The King’s cousin Lauren.
12-year-old Lauren Marie Presley, whose father was a distant cousin to Elvis, exudes that same Presley talent and charm that the world saw in The King. The young singer aspires to follow in the footsteps of her famous relative and is currently chasing her big Nashville dreams until they are fully realized.
Lauren steps into the recording booth for a striking cover of Sara Evans‘ “A Little Bit Stronger.”
The young country singer clearly inherited some of Elvis’ insane musical talent, demonstrating impressively strong vocals for a girl of such a young age.
Lauren Marie shows no signs of slowing down. Not long after she released “A Little Bit Stronger,” she posted a video of her singing Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”
History Of The Song
“A Little Bit Stronger” was co-written by Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott and recorded by Evans in 2010. In addition, the song was also recorded by actress Leighton Meester for the 2010 film Country Strong. It was featured on the film’s soundtrack and released as the second single in 2011.
Evans’ version of the song was highly well-received, going on to soar to number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs as well as number 34 on the all-genre Hot 100.
